UK beauty spot is ‘bucket list must’ and it’s quite unknown | UK | Travel

A small part of Wales has been dubbed a “bucket list must” – though you may have never heard of it.

Now a woman, known as @walkingwithlauren on TikTok, shared a video of Trefor Sea Stacks and it’s garnered a lot of attention. In the clip, she dubbed it a “bucket list must”.

In the video you see Lauren walking on a cliff overlooking gorgeous views of the sea while the sun is setting. It looks so gorgeous you could even think it was the backdrop for a film.

The area boasts extraordinary views of the Llŷn Peninsula, and the village of Trefor has been described as “unusual”. It actually developed thanks to the local granite quarry. The beach, which is formed of a combination of sand and pebbles, is mostly sheltered, though it can experience winds from the north-west.

Nowadays, the inner harbour is mostly filled with pleasure boats. Nearby, at Clynnog Fawr, lies the ancient Church of St Beuno, which is a major Llŷn landmark on the Pilgrims’ Route to Bardsey Island.

As for Trefor Sea Stacks, it offers a stunning short walk from Trefor beach along the Wales Coast Path. If you like putting on your walking boots, the trek is actually only 2km out and back to the sea stacks.

For those who want to make the adventure a little longer, you can by doing a loop. There’s also the option to park at Trefor beach, and then walk along the coast.

Whatever your preference – it’s worth it for the breathtaking views, and people on social media seem to agree. Many people were quick to comment on the video and noted how amazing the area looks.

People also said they think the North Wales coast is “so much prettier” than the south, though the comment attracted a little debate.

One person said: “Beauty – just soak it in.” Another wrote: “Thanks for reminding me of our local beauties. Gonna go this weekend.”

A third replied: “It’s beautiful. Looks a bit like Bedruthan and Carnewas.” Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Holy Cannoli. What an amazing view.”
