Oasis announces three new tour dates after ‘unprecedented demand’ – full details | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
The official announcement from the brothers was shared on Instagram as they wrote to their followers: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
Fans rushed in to praise the pair finally reuniting 15 years after they went their separate ways, with the Instagram post hitting almost 1.5m likes at the time.
They later announced that a pre-sale will be held on Friday, August 30, ahead of the general sale, with fans able to apply and people picked at random after answering questions.
Oasis commented on their post later the same day to confirm that people will be getting a confirmation email, but after an “unprecedented volume of entries” it would be slower.
Ahead of the ticket sales, an indication on prices have been confirmed by Irish music promoters MCD.
They told the Irish Mirror that the Dublin shows are set to be priced from €86.50 (£72.96) plus booking fee meaning Oasis are set to rake in almost €15m in ticket sales for their two Croke Park Dublin dates.
Although the ticket prices across the rest of the UK have not been released, it’s expected they’ll be similar to the Dublin gig.
The official ticket sale takes place on Saturday, August 31 at 9am, with tickets available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, www.gigsandtours.com and www.seetickets.com. Dublin tickets will be available from 8am that same day from www.ticketmaster.ie.
